Racing for Terry Fox
(September 20th) Students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 took part in Terry Fox race day, which consisted of an assembly to honour and discuss the importance and influence of Terry Fox and his achievements. Every grade ran a separate race and every child finished, a huge success! Students also enjoyed fresh fruit supplied by school’s PPO (parent participation organization).
A student from each class was chosen for the Harmony “Spirit Award”, which is an award given to a student who demonstrated determination, courage and respect during the previous three weeks of their Physical Education class. Parent volunteers, community members and teachers worked together to encourage and help support this initiative.
